Beware of Banshee Wails

The best way I can describe a Scream Queen, or so as far as their scream goes is the high pitched wail of a banshee. That frequency that makes your eardrum vibrate and just a little away from breaking glass. I liken those in the 30's black and white movies as more the scream queens as I have yet to hear any modern day actress shriek like them (see the Black & White video in the 'Shrieks in the night' section).

What is a Scream Queen

Wiki's definition is an actor that has become synonymous with horror movies through an appearance in a notable part of the genre or a frequent victim. The Queen of them all being Jamie Lee Curtis as stated in the Scream movies.

The image you see is from the Original 1960 version of Psycho, starring Janet Leigh (pictured) & Anthony Perkins

Danielle Harris who played Jamie Lloyed in the 4th and 5th installments of Halloween gives her the honor of the youngest ever Scream Queen

I'm not sure what a crown for a scream queen would look like, but this I thought might be a fitting match. If I remember right, I believe Queen Ravenna let out a horrific one while releasing some black mist. However from the look of the iron thrown from Game of thrones I think there should be a crown made from that.

The movie changed the way we saw the slasher movie by going somewhat meta and while using the usual cliches it made fun of them as well even calling out what the actual rules of the horror movies are. Of course as usual with slasher movies seqels followed which were not the quality of the original but they do follow an outline of sorts. There's the opening "Want to play a game' montage usually with The likes of Drew Barrymore, Sara Michelle Gellar and others which may or may not be in the rest of the movie after the "Want to play a game" phone call as an introduction This one really is the only one you need to watch however the rules change by the 4th movie years after the 3rd came out and most recently you have the TV series which started the spring/summer of 2015.
